Role Description

As an ALDI Lead Stocker, you bridge frontline stocking execution and shift leadership. While performing active merchandise restocking, pallet offloading, and aisle conditioning, you serve as a subject-matter expert guiding team stocking productivity, backroom organization, and inventory rotation. Lead Stockers assist shift managers by assigning priority stocking aisles, coaching new stockers on ALDI work methods, and maintaining stockroom safety standards. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the retail store facility (zero remote capability).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-speed merchandise stocking across dry grocery, beverage, produce, dairy, and freezer departments.
• Guide stocker team workflow, assigning specific sales floor aisles based on delivery truck manifest volume.
• Oversee stockroom organization, ensuring pallet staging bays are clear, safe, and systematically organized.
• Coach newly hired stockers on efficient unloading techniques, planogram adherence, and FIFO rotation.
• Operate manual/electric pallet jacks and manage industrial cardboard baler operations safely.
• Audit shelf pricing displays, report inventory variances, and ensure damaged goods are processed correctly.
• Assist shift leads with store sweeps and facility sanitation routines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred; prior retail stocking experience required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and peer-coaching skills.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting (up to 45 lbs), bending, standing, and pushing equipment.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, days, or evenings as required by store schedules.
