Role Description

You manage tractor-trailer couplings, perform yard safety checks, transfer ambient/reefer trailers, and assist with yard positioning when needed. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site driving presence (zero remote availability).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial tractors to shuttle trailers between local storage sites and the main distribution hub.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip commercial vehicle inspections, logging DOT compliance metrics digitally.
- Execute trailer couplings, brake line connections, and safety checks for every local shuttle transfer run.
- Monitor reefer trailer temperatures and fuel levels during short-haul transit to preserve product quality.
- Maintain radio and digital communication with yard dispatchers to fulfill trailer movement priorities.
- Assist yard hostlers with docking and staging trailers during peak dispatch windows.
- Maintain exact digital logbook records for hours of service (HOS).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Minimum 1+ years of verifiable Class A commercial driving experience required.
