Role Description

As an ALDI Closing Shift Manager, you lead the operational transition through peak evening customer rushes, store recovery, cash reconciliation, and secure building closing procedures. You manage front-end register queue speeds, direct evening restocking and aisle conditioning, resolve customer escalations, and audit cash drawer balances in the store safe. Your leadership ensures that the store closes securely, cleanly, and fully prepared for the next morning's operations. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site leadership presence at the store (no remote work available).

Key Responsibilities

• Direct evening store team operations, guiding cashiers and stockers during peak evening traffic windows.
• Monitor front-end checkout lanes, calling backup cashiers to maintain fast, pleasant customer service.
• Oversee evening aisle conditioning, front-facing products, clearing cardboard, and sanitizing store fixtures.
• Reconcile register tills, process final cash drops, audit safe balances, and compile daily financial reports.
• Secure all exterior doors, verify building security alarm systems, and conduct final facility walks before departure.
• Address customer inquiries, manage return escalations, and enforce company store policies.
• Coach store associates on safety, customer service standards, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong decision-making, team leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical retail tasks (lifting up to 45 lbs, standing, bending, walking).
• Flexibility to work afternoon and closing evening shifts consistently.
• Experience in cash drawer management and financial reconciliation.

Job Type & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-Time (100% On-Site).
• Schedule: Evening closing shifts including weekend and holiday rotations.
